About our fabrics

A big part of how Marty Jean came about was through concern about our environment and how the fashion industry affects it. For this reason, Marty Jean only uses fabrics that can be traced where they come from and the processes used to create them. Marty Jean strives to use fabrics that have minimal impact on the environment and are made as close to home as possible. We eliminate much of our waste by passing on scraps to small for clothing to those who will use them. Have a great, sustainable fabric resource you think we should know about? Please share!

Care

Marty Jean fabrics are typically pre-washed for minimal shrinking. Unless otherwise specified, our garments can be washed cold and tumbled low, to increase longevity of any item, hang dry. See our care guide for detailed information about care for all of our fabrics.

Fit

We want you to feel comfortable! Our clothes are designed to allow you to move however you want. We use a lot of elastic waists and loose fits for out ever morphing shapes. Don’t see your size in the guide? Just ask - we’re working on expanding our sizing and are happy to have the garment you want be the next we size grade! Short? Tall? Pregnant? Let’s shorten a hem, lengthen a sleeve, or let the waist out a little. Basically - we’re here for you, let’s talk!
